Title: THE BEST IN MONEY LAUNDERING PREVENTION TRAINING
Date:   26 November 2002

With the first anniversary of ‘N2’ now looming, and money laundering an ever more important issues, many companies have yet to implement an ongoing compliance or money laundering prevention strategy.

To address this issue, Wide Learning, recent winner of the e-learning industry’s highest accolade, the WOLCE award for Best Generic Product of the Year, has now launched the latest addition to its Money Laundering Prevention training suite, the Money Laundering Prevention Update Service.

The Wide Learning Money Laundering Prevention Update Service gives an MLRO the peace of mind that comes from knowing that all staff are getting regular updates, delivered direct to their desks. Suitable also for people who have never previously used e-learning, it provides them with the information they need to keep abreast of changes in regulations and other key developments in the fight against money laundering. Knowledge and competence is automatically tested, and a record of results can then be used to demonstrate compliance.

Wide Learning’s current Money Laundering Prevention portfolio consists of courses designed for finance professionals, investment bankers, accountants and lawyers. Every course and update is easily and quickly customised to meet an organisation’s requirements, by including interviews with key staff, interactive exercises relative to the company, and pointers to key resources. Soon to be added to the Money Laundering Prevention suite are courses designed for offshore firms and professionals based in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Alan Calder, Chief Executive Officer of Wide Learning, comments:

"Even where firms have already trained their staff, - be it through e-learning or in the classroom, - the nature of the changes to regulations, and the sheer amount of people affected, means that the only way to keep employees up-to-date consistently and cost-effectively is through e-learning.

The WOLCE award demonstrates that Wide Learning is the place to come to for the very best in Money Laundering Prevention training. We tailor our learning solutions, not only to suit specific sectors, but also to meet the needs of individual organisations. This update service means that our clients can now be confident that employees not only have the best money laundering training there is, but their staff continue to kept up-to-date.”
