COMPLIANCE TRAINING - CAN SMES AFFORD TO IGNORE IT? |

As the first anniversary of ‘N2’ approaches, many regulated financial services firms, particularly smaller businesses are still trying to establish an effective and consistent approach to compliance training. The price is high for SMEs that remain exposed to compliance risks such as money laundering, as they risk high fines and potential damage to their reputations.
To address this issue, Wide Learning, recent winner of the e-learning industry’s highest accolade, the WOLCE award for Best Generic Product of the Year, announces the release of its new compliance training product designed for smaller and medium-sized financial services firms.
Wide Learning has developed an online training program specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises, to help them reduce their compliance risk easily and cost-effectively.
The training program, consisting of seven courses, ensures that all employees are aware of their regulatory responsibilitie. The program also incorporates an evaluation process to ensure that staff are tested, and that a record of this is available for audit. Its courses have been developed with KPMG and major financial services firms, and are currently used by such names as Coutts, Martin Currie and Britannic Asset Management.
Firms can purchase user licences online, implementation is easy, and a dedicated support line ensures that users can have 24/7 access to assistance.
Alan Calder, Chief Executive Officer of Wide Learning, comments, “Now compliance couldn’t be easier for small and medium sized organisations. This program is a proven one, successful within many major players within the financial services sector. The key benefit is the ability to test competence, track progress and have all this to demonstrate compliance.”
