Title: FINANCE FOR NON-FINANCIAL MANAGERS TRAINING – THE LANGUAGE OF BUSINESS DELIVERED TO THE DESKTOP
Date:   27 September 2002
Financial Managers all speak the language of business because they have a professional financial qualification. Many other managers, general managers, and sales managers alike all have roles at least as critical as their financial colleagues but often can’t speak the language of business.

Wide Learning has now launched a training course that is designed to help managers learn to speak the language of business, without spending a lot of time off site. This is delivered in a way that enables them to apply their learning in the workplace on a day-by-day basis.

Wide Learning’s Finance and Accounting for Non-Financial Managers training course contains four Foundations of Finance programmes which, together, cover all the finance and accounting bases.

Completion of the four programmes leads to the award of the Wide Learning Financial Competence Certificate. The learning material remains available, online, for a full year, which gives learners an ongoing opportunity to refer back to material as they need to.

Wide Learning’s courses are available in two standard versions, one for UK accounts and the other for US accounts. It is also possible for global clients to create a bespoke UK/US training course.

Says Alan Calder of Wide Learning: “Already available as a blended programme in the UK and the US, the financial training module can now be delivered completely online – straight to the manager’s desktop. This means that employees can learn at their own pace and without the cost and expense of being offsite.”
