Unique solution combines e-learning modules and
face to face training.
London – Wide Learning, the leading supplier
of business-critical learning solutions for financial
services firms and major global corporates, today announced
the latest launch in its programme of e-learning solutions
for N2 - the key commencement date of the Financial
Services and Markets Act - compliance training.
The new course, entitled N2 Briefing For All
Staff, is a joint project with KPMG that brings
together the regulatory and financial services training
expertise of KPMG with the proven learning design skills
of Wide Learning. Vital for ensuring all customer facing
and back-office staff are brought up-to-date on compliance
issues, the course will provide an overview of the legislative
background, the FSA Handbook, and the standards and
commitments required of all staff.
This latest course is designed to meet the pressing
need within the financial services marketplace for greater
N2 awareness and training solutions. It will combine
regulatory consulting, stand-up compliance briefings
for all levels of staff, and e-learning modules.
Alan Calder, CEO of Wide Learning commented: “Deploying
online courses with stand-up compliance briefings allows
firms to exploit new technologies whilst ensuring the
overall culture is being actively managed by its own
compliance team. By using online elements, an automated
audit trail of activity is created, significantly reducing
administration time whilst allowing a standardised and
consistent message to be communicated to staff.”
Hitesh Patel, Partner at KPMG commented: “It
is clear that the FSA views training and development
of staff as a vital process in the well run financial
business. A well thought out training strategy, backed
up by effective methods of delivery, will enable firms
to develop the type of culture which the FSA expects
them to aspire to. This training solution with Wide
Learning is one element of a comprehensive range of
solutions for regulated businesses that we are developing.”
Other Wide Learning e-learning modules in the current
N2 Compliance programme include The Regulatory Environment,
How Regulation Works, Money Laundering Prevention, The
Rules, Conflict of Interest, The Market Abuse Regime,
Approved Persons, and Introducing Data Protection.
